What? More?....

I know what some of you must be thinking, "Lael, what are you doing this crapp for?" "These look like you paint them with your foot!" Well, all I can say is, I know...it's true, BUT...even though I'd rather not paint in this style, I don't mind it. For me this is a known comodity...I know this stuff will sell. Believe it or not. My goal is to get "my collection" to about double the size of what it is now. That is a lot of painting, but it can easily be done it time. Since my studio phone isn't ringing off the hook, I'll market myself with my painter stuff and in the down time...paint as many of these little suckers as I can! Here is what I've finished this week...better results and much faster....this is good!

Hey man whatever works. I think you're super talented no matter what you do and way to have a good attitude!

I'm liking it!

I attended a "lecture" tonight given by another illustrator (not really a lecture, but rather a professional sharing their experience and work with the class). Lots of conceptual stuff, though he said he hated drawing guys in suits and so would use other creatures or objects to express the idea/concept in question.

Either way... this guy is doing just fine freelancing right now, and you've got a proven style of conceptual art that magazines and what not will pay for-- so it totally makes sense for you to focus on that ;) Keep working on those creative solutions to conceptual images and you could be better off than at any office job.

I have nothing against working new styles :) they tend to improve your own style over time. these are really nice illustrations... clean clear and sends the message. really great work here :)

You have such a proven niche. You don't need to prove to anyone how talented you are. Just do what works.
